Projects
Our Projects
Junior Astronomer's Space Club
India’s fastest-growing school astronomy programme with Bronze, Silver & Gold tiers and formal graduation ceremonies. Students progress through structured space science modules, from sky mapping to independent research projects. Now active across 41 schools with scaled enrolment every quarter.
Near-Space Satellite Payload Launch Mission
Students design, build, and fly real payloads to ~35 km altitude aboard high-altitude balloons, then recover them. CSTERC holds a 4/4 mission record with 100% payload recovery, making this one of the most reliable student near-space programmes in India.
Project Moon
India’s first grassroots lunar-habitation simulation initiative, an R&D programme where students and researchers collaborate to build an experimental lunar chamber. From regolith simulation to life-support modelling, Project Moon turns classroom theory into hands-on space engineering. Currently in active development at our Coimbatore facility.
Model Rocket Development Workshop
Students design, build, and launch their own functional model rockets from scratch, learning aerodynamics, propulsion, and flight dynamics through pure hands-on execution. No kits, no shortcuts. Every participant leaves having built and flown a rocket they engineered themselves.
Telescope Construction Workshop
A hands-on workshop where each participant builds a fully working telescope to take home, grinding their own optics, assembling the tube, and calibrating the mount. The same engineering process used in our own in-house telescope manufacturing unit, scaled for learners of any age.
Mobile Planetariums at Schools
We bring a portable dome planetarium directly to your campus, transforming any school hall into an immersive 360° sky theatre. No travel logistics for students, no disruption to academic schedules. Designed for bulk sessions serving entire school batches in a single day.
Sky Observation Programme
Guided on-campus night-sky observation sessions for schools, colleges, and institutions, with professional-grade telescopes and trained facilitators. Students identify planets, star clusters, nebulae, and satellites in real time. Includes pre-session orientation and post-observation debrief for maximum learning impact.
Women Astropreneur's Collective
A first-of-its-kind programme building women leaders and trained astro-tourism guides in space science outreach. Participants gain technical knowledge, communication skills, and entrepreneurial mentorship to create independent careers in the growing space-ed and astro-tourism economy.
Tamil Nadu Asteroid Search Campaign
Students analyse real telescope data from the PANSTARRS observatory in Hawaii to identify previously untracked near-Earth asteroids, through our partnership with IASC (International Asteroid Search Campaign), a NASA-affiliated network. To date: 376+ students trained, 38 high-probability asteroid candidates reported.
